TableState

Struct TableState

Source
pub struct TableState {
    pub columns: Vec<ColumnSpec>,
    pub comment: Option<String>,
    pub properties: BTreeMap<String, String>,
    pub managed_comment_hashes: BTreeMap<String, String>,
}
Expand description

The live state of a table as reported by a backend’s describe.

managed_comment_hashes records the twg:comment_hash the backend last stamped per column (and the table under the empty-string key), so the planner can tell an unchanged managed comment (skip) from a drifted one (re-stamp) without re-reading the comment text.

Fields§

§columns: Vec<ColumnSpec>

Live columns in the table.

§comment: Option<String>

Live table-level comment, if any.

§properties: BTreeMap<String, String>

Live table properties/tags.

§managed_comment_hashes: BTreeMap<String, String>

Last-synced managed comment hashes, keyed by column name (the table’s own managed-comment hash uses the empty string "" as its key).

Implementations§

Source§

impl TableState

Source

pub fn empty() -> Self

An empty live state (no columns, no comment) — a convenience for tests and for backends building up state incrementally.

Source

pub fn column(&self, name: &str) -> Option<&ColumnSpec>

Look up a live column by name.
